Just a little note to self from today... Don't park in the 30 minute parking when you go to court to pay a ticket... You get another ticket for parking too long.

Marigold Festival News

Well we had a beautiful weekend for the Pekin Marigold Festival. And other than scaring away the extremely wholesome, morally right, upstanding citizens that stole my jewelry, we did pretty well too. Long story, but basically they snatched a couple necklaces and I stuck half my arm in the girls purse and my husband was right there to watch my back. Yeah. I think they were probably pretty scared of him... he's not a wimpy guy.

Anyway, when they finally left, I looked down and realized all my kettle corn was gone! Talk about stress eating... I wonder what these thieves were thinking about the girl in the jewelry booth who was shoving her face full of kettle corn when she was trying to get back her stolen items?! I'm sure "give me back my jewelry" was a little mumbled coming from a huge mouth with kettle corn smashed in it... Didn't even know I had kettle corn at the time.

Other than that, great weekend. Two and a half weeks until Spoon River Drive! Also, check out the new items in our shop...

Pekin Marigold Festival

Riverfront Market Kickoff

Our first Riverfront Market adventure was this morning! It was a nice day, but probably could have been a little warmer. There was quite a crowd and everyone was interested in seeing the new vendors. I think this was the largest amount of sellers I've seen on the Riverfront. Next weekend, we will be in St. Charles, IL for the Pride of the Fox Riverfest, so we won't be around for the Market, but please come see us on the 20th!
